DIGITANALOG
Typeface design
Work publication
Digitanalog is a typeface based on the characteristics of the digital and analog signal. A combination of rounded and square corners has been utilized in the design of each letter. The two opposing shapes (square and the sine) are both core characteristics of two different and basic sound waveforms. Each letter is designed to depict both characteristics, thus successfully creating a typeface that visually represents two modes of sound wave/signal. The typeface was featured in the first issue of Perforate Magazine, a publication that explores, showcases and gives exposure to the contemporary field of Typographic Design.
